Wrestling with Smackdown Vs. Raw

For the past few weeks I have been practicing my 619's, Batista bombs and Stone Cold Stunners. No, It's not real, it's entertainment, it's smackdown vs. raw 2008 in psp.

Overall the game's graphics is good. The superstars' facial details and body build is quite great. But the crowd's animation is sOOO stupid I mean why would they look at the camera all the time when in fact the action is happening right behind them!

***

***crowd: what's happenin???

And don't get me startin on the divas. They made them look horrible!!!

***

The background music was quite impressive ranging from puddleofmudd to famous but gets repetitive.

The gameplay is quite good with different superstar having different set of moves. But that all-powerful annoyingly longish-waiting-for-action screen could really piss anyone off really. It would take almost 1 minute just for the loading to finish. Really piss-y

Smackdown vs. Raw features 24/7 where you can mold a wrestling-wannnabee to a superstar and ultimately into a legend.

24/7 delivers the DRAMA, the ACTING, the BLOODY BATTLES and all the typical Wish Woosh of a wwe wrestler.

The game also features the create mode in which you have the POWER to create. I'd like to commend the create a superstar mode for making it sim 2-ish but it's limited layer capacity is a big no-no.

UPCAT the movie

Last Thursday (November 20, 2008)was the screening of Cinema one's indie films one of which is UPCAT the movie (yey a movie based on THAT one test).

The movie features
Felix Roco
Hiyasmin Neri
Bembol Roco
Malou Crisologo
Joseph Roble
Richard Quan
Mark Gil

and is directed by Roman Carlo Olivares.

The movie was good (and I mean good) we were ask to rate it from 1 to 5 (I rated it 6 ;> ). The "singits" as I call it was pretty good (the criss-crossing fingers, the flashbacks etc.) added to the quirkiness of the film. The film's story focuses on a young intelligent man (Felix Roco) who desires to enter THE university (UP). The confusion of choosing your own course, the comedies and dramas of life, the overprotective parents, the bestfriend who's always there, and the romeo-juliet love story all played a role in this film. It's one of the best indie film of the year because everyone can relate to it (even those who did not bother to take THE exam).

Watch it and you'll see

RATINGS: (5 being the highest)
STORY: 4.5
GRAPHICS: (special effects, etc): 4.5
FILLERS (the jokes): 5
INDIE-ness (wala lang i just felt the need): 5
